HELGA ZIMMERMANN (Consultant Psychologist)

BA. Dip Psych (Clinical Psychology). PGDipPsych (Organisation and psycho-sociology of work).

Generally Registerd Psychologist.


Helga has extensive Organisational and Clinical Psychology expertise. Previous work experience includes the Public Sector Management Commission, the Department of Employment, Vocational Education and Industrial Relations, and the Anti-Discrimination Commission. She has developed and conducted reviews for government departments, including Education Queensland, with a focus on delivering quality results that align with current legal parameters.


With a high level of capability in investigation and diagnosis, Helga’s experience has involved: workplace mediation, WorkCover and Anti-Discrimination Commission claims investigations, conflict resolution and associated consulting services at an individual, group and organisational level.

She has designed, facilitated and led organisational change interventions across a variety of industries and is highly motivated to empower the individual and organisation. Helga has developed change methodologies that include deliverables at a policy and team level. She has delivered seminars on topics ranging through Managing Workplace Diversity to Coping with Shift Work and has conducted stress management through industrial unrest.


With a strong interest in personal coaching, she has been instrumental in assisting numerous individuals to develop their technical and/or leadership capability. Her experience in the clinical Psychology field extends across anxiety, depression, ‘stress’, relationship problems, anger management, trauma, grief, life stage issues, and self-esteem. She is also highly competent in critical incident stress and trauma debriefing. 


Helga is a Registered Psychologist with the Psychologists Board of Queensland and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She is also involved with the APSInterest Group in Coaching Psychology and the Beyond Bullying Association.
